As part of the Faculty of Education’s preparations for the environmental week and the launch of the environmental sustainability initiative to spread the culture of sustainability, the Faculty of Education today organized a symposium entitled “Environmental Sustainability is Lifestyle and Human Commitment.” The seminar was lectured by Professor. Mohamed Hamdy Zaki and Dr. Mortada Shams El-Din. The symposium presented the concepts of environmental sustainability and the relationship between human, the environment and the earth. In addition to that the symposium was handled the international and local environmental agreements. The symposium also addressed the role of environmental sustainability in scientific research, teaching and community service. It also aimed to raise awareness among the students, academic staff and administrative staff of the faculty about environmental sustainability as an issue related to the past that can be benefited from, the present in light of reality and the future and its relationship to entrepreneurship to create a new generation of environmental leaders.
This came under the auspices of President of the University Prof. Essam Farhat , Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Prof. Ayman Hassanein, and Dean of the Faculty Prof. Sayed Abdel Azim. It also held under the supervision of Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Prof. Asmaa Abdel Hamid, In the presence of Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Prof. Hossam Zaki.
